Los Angeles duo Happy Hollows are back with a brand-new track, ‘On the Wave’, from their forthcoming album Concordia set for release on the 8th of September.

Listen to ‘On the Wave’ here

‘On the Wave’ showcases everything that makes the band great, slinky synth bass, powerful yet graceful guitar work, and the unmistakeable vocals of Sarah Negahdari. The evocative lyrics are about accepting that life is out of our control and about letting go and overcoming that fear.

Happy Hollows is the unlikeliest of matches, founded by two polar opposites — Northern California native and free-spirited guitarist Sarah Negahdari and Ph.D. student and bassist Charlie Mahoney. The two initially met at a Los Angeles strip mall where Sarah was reading tarot cards to pay the bills. At the time, neither could imagine they would spend the next couple of years touring across the USA while also becoming a staple of Los Angeles’ underground music scene.

Concordia will be the band’s third full length album and is set for release on 8th September.
