Hi L, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Hey, I have great thank you.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Pree My Ting”?

Pree My Ting is my new song produced by Jammer and is out right now on YouTube and available to stream and buy every where.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

I just wanted to write a song about what it feels like to be an artist sometimes in a light hearted way, and just have some fun with it.

What’s the story behind the title of the song?

It’s just about people watching you. Pree means watch.

How was the recording and writing process?

It was an amazing experience, every bar I wrote came from my heart. Working with Jammer was special because me knows so much about grime and it was a natural connection we had. The first time we went in studio together we made Pree My Ting.

How much did he influence the writing?

I write all my own bars, as soon as I got in studio and he laid the drum pattern down, the chorus came to me straight away and so did the verse, it was just nice to catch the vibe in Jammer’s studio.

How did all your different cultural backgrounds influence the music on this record?

I grew up in London for my teenage years and grime was part of the culture I grew up in.

Any plans to hit the road?

“Hit the road jack”, nah I’m playing.

I will be putting on my own show case on in October and I will be doing other shows later in the year too. I have always put on my own events, one named ‘Female Hype’ which I use to do to empower females so I have had pretty much the whole of the current female rappers on my previous events.

What else is happening next in Laughta’s world?

A lot more to come stay tuned, follow me on socials to keep up to date @laughta1 everywhere 🙂
