INTERVIEW: 4TK

Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Great! Thank you for having us on VENTS.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Broken“?

Jaxon: Of course! we made Broken together with producer Ty Jamz & MJ Songstress (songwriter) , last April in New York.

Sebastian: I remember that the lyrics poured out of our heart, Broken really strikes a chord with us, and is a good representative of who we are as a band.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this ?

Sebastian: When Ty played us the beat we immediately felt the direction we wanted to take.

Kyle: It felt real, strong , we couldn’t wait to start writing on it.

Shane: It had to be about a serious situation, a break up…

Jaxon: Almost all of us had our heart broken at one point, & we felt that our fans could relate to that.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

Shane: the music video just premiered this week on fuse TV.

Jaxon: you should check it out 🙂

How was the recording and writing process?

Shane: Broken was quite intense to create, Broken  is about the hurt of losing the one you love, the breaking up of that relationship.

Kyle: You know your girl is cheating on you but you go through the motion of denial, sometimes the reality is too hard to deal with.

But at the end you realize that she is not worth it & you break it off.

What did you learn from your time on The Voice?

Shane: Stage presence!

Sebastian: Performing in front off millions of tv viewers, frightning but exciting at the same time.

Kyle: I learned that it is a great way to showcase what you can do as a artist.

Jaxon: I learned a lot from my coach, I didn’t know that I could learn so much as a artist.

Do you tend to take a different approach when you are covering someone else than when you are writing in your own?

Sebastian: off cource, you can put all your emotion into your ow creation

Kyle: We love covering songs, but the feeling you get in singing your own song is magic

As the group changed its name, what other new and different things can fans expect?

Shane: We were actually called State Of Mind in the beginning untill we started to see comments on youtube that people were confusing us with another band with the same name. So just before the US release we decided to change our name into The Fourth Kingdom.

Jaxon: I think the fans can expect good music & a lot of love from us for them

Sebastian: The name changed but the boys stay the same 🙂

Does your new single mean we can expect a new album – how’s that coming along?

Jaxon: YES! We recorded a lot of songs in LA & New York.

Kyle: We will release a selection of those songs soon.

Shane: & the fans can expect some really cool collaborations on the album.

Sebastian: it’s gonna be DOPE!

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

The album should come in October , but we can’t share the name just yet 🙂

Any plans to hit the road?

Kyle: Yes we will be touring in the US at the end of september.

Shane: with lots of meet & great opportunities!

Jaxon: from the east to the west coast.

Sebastian: more info soon!

What else is happening next in The Fourth Kingdom‘s world?

Together : “Our fans are all kings and queens in the The Fourth Kingdom, where music rules.

And music, there will be plenty of it!
