Charlie Parr Premieres New Song ‘I Ain’t Dead Yet’

Charlie Parr has released the second single from his forthcoming full-length Dog to be released September 8 on Red House Records. The song is Charlie’s tribute to Dock Boggs, as he explained, “He played a song called ‘Roses While I’m Living’ which expressed the same sentiment. We’re here now, we have time to appreciate one another now rather than memorialize them when they’re gone.”

Over the course of a prolific career spanning 13 full-length albums, the Duluth virtuoso has earned a passionate following for his strikingly candid songwriting and raw stage presence. Dog is his most personal record to date, digging deeply into personal experiences with depression and the existential questions that weight it.

Charlie Parr is on tour throughout 2017. Highlights include two nights at the Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis, MN and multiple festival stops including Magic City Blues Festival in Billings, Sweet Pea Festival in Bozeman, Whispering Beard Folk Festival in Cincinnati and Bristol Rhythm and Roots in Tennessee.  For full tour dates, see below.
