The follow up to the acclaimed ‘Let It Run WILD!’ debut EP from last year, the new material here sees the multi-talented young singer build on her early promise and deliver her finest set of songs to date. Taking inspiration from KT Tunstall, Kate Voegele, Tracy Chapman, Estas Tonne, Meadowlark and Ed Sheeran, the songs are original and beautifully crafted and are packed with infectious hooks and melodic transitions.
Just barely out of her teens, Cloudy Galvez has been making music since the age of seven when she learned to play the piano. At eleven she discovered guitarist Estas Tonne and taught herself to play like him on her brother’s old classical guitar and was soon performing in front of 15,000 people for Race For Life and Heart FM. She has since played at Proud Camden, Battersea Park Festival, The Good Ship, and The Garage and has attracted the attention of the likes ofGIGsoup, The Line of Best Fit, ‘The Best of British Unsigned’, ‘The After Eight Show’ and ‘RL SF Radio’. The aforementioned debut EP has currently amassed around 40,000 plays on SoundCloud since it’s release late last year.
A truly engaging live performer, Cloudy and her band of Rowan Davies (bass) and new recruit Az Khan (drums) will play the following shows in September. More dates will be announced in the very near future.
