BOY EPIC Releases Noir-Pop Single & Animated Video For “Up Down”

Known for his seamless mergence of film and music, Boy Epic, the Dallas-based noir-pop sensation, returns with a new single and video for Up Down” today. Inspired by the likes of Christopher Nolan and Depeche Mode, the track fuses haunting atmospherics, dynamic beats, and his delicate yet powerful vocals. He comments, “Up Down is a song about the trials and tribulations of time. Something we are all fighting and ultimately fear.”

Animated by Boy Epic himself, the video was crafted frame-by-frame to give it an old-school, stop motion animation feel. “The video tells a story of a young boy stuck in time trying to be with the love of his life, while the lyrics play the narrative, the devil is in the details,” he comments.

For a taste of his kinetic live energy, Boy Epic is hosting a private industry showcase in Los Angeles on August 22nd at The Virgil. For more information or to RSVP, click here.
