joan Debut New Track

With a penchant for mom jeans and offbeat vintage piano, Arkansas based duo, joan arrive today with their new track, love somebody like you” via 20XX – a sun-dappled saccharine track. Listen here

With softly spoken lyrics crooned over a bass line deeply rooted in 80’s style synths and flourishes of 90’s rnb, joan’s sound is gorgeously forlorn. The song is a bittersweet love letter to that special someone who seems so close, but is yet so far away. The duo elaborate – “love somebody like you is a song for someone that you obsess over. they seem out of reach, but you can’t help but to take a chance and go after them”.

Comprised of Alan Thomas and Steven Rutherford, the eclectic duo have been making a name for themselves following the release of their track, “Take Me On,” which made them a favorite amongst the blogosphere.

Upcoming Tour Dates:

9/15 Vancouver, BC – Hillydilly @ Westward Music Festival
9/21 Hamburg, Germany – Reeperbahn Festival
9/22 Amsterdam, Netherlands – Indiestadt 2017
9/26 London, UK – The Waiting Room
