INTERVIEW: All Flags Are Grey

Hi fellows, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Very well !! thank you for asking !! we have just being working on animation ideas as we would like to incorporate video projection in some off our live shows towards the end of the year.

Can you talk to us about your latest single “Bare Bones”?

Yes Bare Bones is the lead single off our forth coming EP. It tackles the subject of addictive behaviour and self inflicted loss.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

Most of the tracks I write are autobiographical so it definitely is a reference to past experiences but does not pin point a specific incident, more so an amalgamation of previous events.

What inspired the visuals for the video for the song?

The track Bare Bonestackles the subject of addictive behaviour and self inflicted loss. It’s about showing vulnerability, self loathing and feeling trapped. The video to the track tries to visualise these feelings whilst exploring Shibari Rope Art ideas about domination and submission. This also represents the elaborate manipulations of the ego and its strangleholds.

Does your new single mean we can expect a new album – how’s that coming along?

Yes we are working on an album at present, but we’re more inclined to release a few more singles before dropping an album.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

I guess the album would be some time at the beginning of next year.

Any plans to hit the road?

Yes we will be heading to the Netherlands at the end of the year for some gigs and will also be playing various London shows.

What else is happening next in All Flags Are Grey’s world?
We are working on an indie film project at the moment which is due for release in independent cinemas across UK and other parts of Europe so we will def release one of the songs off the soundtrack. The one in mind slightly different feel to Bare Bones so we’re excited for people to see another side to us !!
