Brazil based five – piece, Far From Alaska are set to release their new album on the 4th of August 2017.
‘Unlikely’ is the follow up to Far From Alaska’s debut album ‘modeHuman’ which was named in Rolling Stone’s Top ten albums of 2014. The new album features the current single ‘Cobra’ and was produced by Sylvia Massy who has worked with the likes of Tool, System of a Down and Johnny Cash and was mastered by Joe LaPorta (Foo Fighters, David Bowie).
Formed in 2013, the Far From Alaska line up ofEmmily Barreto (vocals), Cris Botarelli (guitar, vocals, synth), Rafael Brasil (guitars), Edu Filgueira (bass) and Lauro Kirsch (drums) quickly band gained international exposure having toured extensively across South America and Europe.
Most recently Far From Alaska performed at the main stage of Download Festival in France alongside the likes of Green Day and Blink 182. Following their performance at Download the band were hailed by Kerrang magazine for their energetic live performance and captivating sound.
The band are set to announce new live dates in the very near future.
