Hedley’s New Album, Cageless, Set To Release September 29 Available For Pre-Order Today

Canadian pop-rockers, Hedley, announce their new album, CAGELESS, set for release September 29 via Universal Music Canada. Available for pre-order starting today, the album was written and produced by Jacob Hoggard, and longstanding Hedley collaborators Brian Howes, and Jason ‘JVP’ Van Poederooyen at the Warehouse Studio in BC.  CAGELESS is their seventh full-length album release and first since 2015’s platinum-selling, #1 charting album, Hello.

Frontman Jacob Hoggard comments, “Cageless embodies exactly where we are creatively, without limits. It has been a true labour of love making this album and we can’t wait to share it with the world.”

The smooth, R&B-infused lead single “Love Again” released last month, is the first instant grat track in the pre-order out today and available at all digital retailers. The track continues to drive the charts and is fast approaching top 10 at Top 40, Hot AC and AC Radio and already amassing 1.4 million global streams.  Today, Hedley are ready to extend their momentum by unveiling their first VR music video for “Love Again” in partnership with Samsung Canada, which premieres on Samsung VR (accessed through Google Play APP HEREand VEVO – watch HERE.

Jacob shares his experience on set, “We’ve never done anything like this before, and creativity wise shooting in 360 VR was like walking to flying.  As nerve-racking as it was, we’re used to taking a lot of risks musically, so this in a lot of ways feels like the natural next step for us. It’s really exciting to watch a story come to life in such a tangible environment.”

“We are thrilled to partner with Universal Music and Hedley to bring fans closer to the music they love through immersive Samsung Gear VR and Gear 360 technology,” says Philippe Lozier, Vice President, Content and Services, Samsung Canada.
