A$AP Rocky shares collaborator’s new video on twitter

A$AP Rocky just shared “What’s the Word,” the new video from Joe Fox, his At.Long.Last. A$AP. collaborator and co-writer, on Twitter.

The video cuts scenes of every day city life – skaters cruising through the streets of London, neon-painted party-goers, a sequined interpretative dancer – with footage of Fox strumming his acoustic guitar in his disheveled room while singing longingly: “What’s the word on the street? … Cause all these pills they just ain’t helping me.” The somber lyrical content clashes unexpectedly with the sound of the song itself, featuring Fox’s sultry folk-soul vocals atop a heady mix of acoustic guitar and horns.

Fox was discovered by A$AP while busking on the London streets one night at 4 AM and has never looked back, having since featured along-side artists like Kanye West and Leonard Cohen on A$AP’s no. 1 album.
