INTERVIEW: Super Flu

Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Hi VENTS. Good and you?

Can you talk to us about your track „Insi”?

„Insi“ is a track that we produced for our ex-booker Ina.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

Yes, when she decided to quit as a booker and concentrate on other things.

The track comes off your new album Musik 3 – what’s the story behind the title?

We did an album with music that you can listen to. And it is the third!

How was the recording and writing process?

A lot of fun but also very tedious.

What role does Germany play in your music?

None, we are cosmopolitan.

How has your tour life influence your writing?

Tour life always means too little sleep and too much alcohol. That affects our music positively but also negatively.

You have been known for pushing your boundaries with every record – how do you intend to do so with this material?

We wanted to do an album that moved more in a deeper direction with less pop and more levitation. We think we managed quite well.

Where did you find the inspiration for the songs and lyrics?

Everywhere, really. You just have to be attentive. But also, grandpa Herbert plays a big part in this.

Any plans to hit the road?

…Jack and don’t you come back no more

no more, no more, no more

What else is happening next in Super Flu’s world?

We are planning a big concert with the Mannheimer Philharmonics and after that we are having babies.
