• Physical

• Emotional or Psychological

• Sexual

• Neglectful

Each one will have both a short term and a long term effect on the child. This is not just physical, but emotional and developmental too. They can lead to violence, self-harm, substance abuse, and long-term financial insecurity.

Domestic Violence

There are also 4 different types of domestic violence. In such circumstances the victim is not always clear as both could be abusing the other:

• Financial or Economic
