Acclaimed Australian producer Touch Sensitive debuts the video for his new track, “Lay Down,” today via Future Classic. WATCH HERE. The song is the first single from Touch Sensitive’s upcoming debut album set to release this fall.
The video was created by Lost Art (The Avalanches, Love Deluxe, XL Recordings, Apple Music). Inspired by Prince’s “Sign ‘O The Times” video, it features over 100 scenes with a montage of different imagery and fonts reminiscent of 1980s and 1990s NTSC-style effects.
Touch Sensitive recently embarked on a North American tour, playing headline shows in Brooklyn and Los Angeles, as well as festival shows at Electric Forest, Summerfest and What The Festival. He also joined both Flume and Flight Facilities at Red Rocks Amphitheater, Belly Up Aspen and more.
“Lay Down” is his first official release since 2013’s cult hit, “Pizza Guy.” “Lay Down” hit #1 on the Hype Machine charts and has amassed over one million streams to date. Of “Lay Down,” Clash Magazine hails it “[his] graceful, seductive return,” while Mixmag praises the song’s “instantly uplifting keys, vocal and bass line swagger.”
Affectionately described as Future Classic’s “secret weapon,” the much loved producer, performer, DJ, multi-instrumentalist and Van She co-founder is the solo project of Michael Di Francesco. His 2004 debut single and global DJ favorite “Body Stop,” is one of Future Classic’s earliest releases. Although he’s only released a handful of songs, each has seen a significant amount of remix treatment from some of the world’s top DJs including LA’s finest duo Classixx, Fantastic Man, I:Cube and Lauer. A favorite on the Australian festival circuit, Francesco has appeared at Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival, The Plot, Laneway, Soundscape, Lost Paradise, Mountain Sounds, Perth’s CIRCO and Holy Ship.
