Georgia van Etten is a soul/blues songstress based in London with a rich, creative voice and a badass vocal trumpet. She has wowed audiences globally from major stages in her homeland Australia, to Ronnie Scott’s and famous European festivals like Montreux Jazz (Switzerland) and Porretta Soul (Italy).
In 2014, armed with one suitcase and zero connections, Georgia made the gutsy move to London. Since then she has earned an incredible response, performing at top venues like 606 and Pizza Express Jazz Clubs, guesting with soul legends like Omar at The Hideaway and Earl Thomas at Ealing Blues Festival and headlining Europe’s largest smooth jazz festival ‘Stompin’ on the Quomps’.
Georgia has also worked extensively with Australian music producer Alice Ivy, touring the UK and Germany promoting latest releases ‘Touch’ and ‘Almost Here’ that have had over one million hits on Australian Radio and international music forums.
Georgia has teamed up with director Mark Fewell of 2ft4 Productions (credits include: U2, Jake Bugg, Florence and the Machine, Bastille), to film and record three live sessions at The Pool Studio, London. The videos capture Mark’s strong, creative style achieving a beautiful picture and narrative. Georgia’s original tracks shine in this live setting and together with her killer 10-piece band whose credits include Grace Jones, Alicia Keys, Sting and Mark Ronson, she proves her honest songwriting is just as fierce as her voice.
