Dallas is about to get a little more diverse and a whole lot sexier when Voyeurotic Carnival takes over Viva’s Lounge on Friday, July 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. The one- night event is the product of the dynamic partnership between Broads and Panties Burlesque producer Vivienne Vermuth and multicultural advocacy group PolyDallas Millennium to showcase the diversity within Dallas and in burlesque. Tickets are available online here for $20 for General Admission to $140 per VIP Table. Viva’s Lounge is located at 1350 Manufacturing St., Unit 120, Dallas, Texas 75207.

“This will be a completely immersive experience reminiscent of underground hoochie coochie shows from the turn of the century, with a modern flair,” said Vermuth.

The lineup includes an award-winning cast from all over the United States, from New York City’s Sydni Deveraux, Nox Falls of Amarillo and international burlesque queen Iris L’Emour, Onyx Fury, Olive Avira, and Amy Henderson. Lillith Grey will host the performance. The majority of the performers are people of color and queer-identifying, making the show a truly special experience.

“I feel that representation is incredibly important.” said Vermuth. “I wanted to create an evening that showcased and celebrated how diverse our burlesque scene is.”

Vermuth, who founded North Texas burlesque collective Broads and Panties in 2009, has worked diligently to create more opportunities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for burlesque and vaudeville performers of all races, genders and body types.
