Mannequin Death Squad Releases New Single

Australian scuzz-punk duo Mannequin Death Squad release ‘Van Gogh’, the third video instalment from debut mini-album ‘Eat Hate Regurgitate’, as they confirm a second UK tour for September. Watch here

Whilst the song addresses the world’s obsession with living life through a lens and the tidal surge of consumerism and narcissism to the detriment of the planet’s key resources, the video adds humour to the mix:

“We can get a bit too serious sometimes, so we wanted to make fun of ourselves, doing our hair and trying to look ‘cool’ on camera. The whole clip was done in one take, as we wanted to keep it as natural as possible.

At the same time we think it’s important to highlight how manipulative all forms of the media can be. It’s time to look at the world through your own eyes, recognise what is wrong and do something about it. Switch off. Switch it off.”

The Melbourne-based duo, whose first UK tour last autumn saw them personally invited by Slaves to join them at several shows, return to the UK in September with dates already confirmed for Brighton, London, Hull, York, Manchester, Sheffield & Edinburgh (with more tbc).

‘Eat Hate Regurgitate’ is available on CD and download via Integrity Records.
