-Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

We’ve been stoked all Summer, VENTS!  How bout you?

-Can you talk to us more about your single “Go”?

“Go” is our first single!  And theSIRband was born.

-Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

There is a festival that we all attended together – Wakarusa – it was the last time the festival would ever take place (for now) and we wrote “Go” pretty much right when we got back home… and back to the daily grind.

-What was it like filming the video for this track?

It was like reality TV, but without a script. We were followed around from Denver to LA for the entire recording process & compiled the footage into a perfect collage of the adventure.

-What was the writing and recording process like?

Well, we wrote most of the album in a three week time crunch, after losing all of our recorded material.  We were basically so exhausted from the dramatic experience and said “fuck it, let’s write all new songs”.  Recording was a harsh learning experience with glitter all over it.  We learned a lot about ourselves, the business, and finally had something we could all three be proud of.

-You guys have a similar vibe to Halsey. Would you say she’s influenced your writing at all?

No, but thanks the compliment. She’s a badass. I imagine we have had similar influences; r&b, hip-hop, alternative, whoever the biggest in the business were (and are) most likely.

-How does being from Denver influence your music?

Ah, well, this city is a music mecca… and we feel our music incorporates a plethora of genres. Red Rocks Amphitheater is the best venue in the world, hands down.  She has hosted the most talented in the business and the most diverse music you could imagine.  Denver has always been such a strong rock and punk-rock haven, also, which has most definitely had an influence in the roots of our style.

-Can we expect a new EP or album sometime this year?

You can indeed, date tbd, but after releasing 1-2 more singles from the album we will make the entire thing available to public.  We’re already itching to record & do the whole thing over again.

-Any plans to hit the road?

After spending this summer playing all over Denver and its surrounding markets, we’ll be touring Nationally and Internationally throughout 2017-2018.

-What else is happening next in SIR’s world?

We’re on the brinks of releasing our second single “So Cold”, which will be followed up with the premier of the music video.  Then we’ll be on the road all winter, chasing the sun hopefully.

  1. I’m glad to see y’all gaining some well deserved traction!

P.S. If Europe is on the table for 2017, Opening Party for summer party season (June) in Sicily sees a huge tourist influx from all over Europe and is pretty cheap, I’ll be going back then and would love to see y’all play out that way, just sayin’! 8 )~
