Recognized as a “Future Star” by Pete Tong, supported by artists ranging from Disclosure and Claude VonStroke, and receiving almost 3 million Spotify streams on his 2016 single “What Do You Want” alone,  Justin Jay has established himself within industry and listener circles alike as a rising electronic luminary. That’s owed to the elegant fusion of funk and soul he injects into house music, a fusion at its best on his new single “Can’t Hang”. Written and sung by Jay, it’s a breezy, vocoder-laden cut with a wonderfully danceable edge.

Jay explains that “Cant Hang” is “one of the first songs I wrote and sang. It came out of me at a time where I wasn’t exactly on cloud nine… It’s been crazy times. These days, I frequently find myself getting overwhelmed, stressed out, or disenchanted about things. It’s easy to get negative and divisive, but that’s where I think music can be so powerful and important. It brings people together and makes us feel good. That’s what this song’s about for me.” Listen here
