Hi Matt, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Hey everyone! Ive been doing fantastic! Working on what I want to show the world!

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “All Good”?

It’s been about two years since the team and I released anything. We’ve been focused on developing who Matt LeGrand is. We thought that All Good was a perfect comeback single. We found a nice sound for me that we cant wait to continue to develop. This song is just so easy for me to get into. It projects quite a powerful message. Getting out of a relationship and returning to a routine with just yourself can be one of the hardest things to do. This song is about self love, self care, and being ok with yourself.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

I was going through a time in my life where I felt that I was a part of the wrong crowd. I really didn’t feel like I fit in. I was surrounded by negative selfish people and I really didn’t like the person I was becoming. All Good was a collaboration that turned into a really personal piece of work. “Healing” is how I like to describe this song.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

Look forward to it. It’s coming!

How was the recording and writing process?

We recorded the song in Atlanta, GA. It was so unbelievably smooth and natural feeling. The first time our ears heard the song the vibe in the studio was infectious. Everyone felt amazing after listening to it. That’s the best way to tell if its a keeper, how does it make you feel? The whole team did such a great job with this, I would be honored to step back into the studio with them again! Its such a great feeling when things sail smoothly.

What made you to seek for a new sound?

As a creative team, we are always seeking for new sounds. Times are always changing, now more than ever before. The worst thing to do as a creative person is be impermeable. I choose to flow with the stream and be an easy going artist. We are always looking for new ways to stay ahead and relevant. We like to flow with the stream and If we’re lucky enough we’ll find something that goes against that stream. Which then completely changes the game!

Does the new single mean we can expect a new album – how’s that coming along?

The team and I are focusing on releasing strong and sustainable singles right now. I will say that we are recording a lot though, so something big is bound to come!

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

Not yet.

What other aspect of themes did you get to explore on this record?

We explored a Caribbean feel with this song. I like to compare to when Drake does his island vibe records. He is singing and rapping. At some parts this single is almost a rap, which was something that took me out of my comfort zone but thats what its all about. Pushing the bar. I think it turned out amazing! I hope everyone else likes it as much as I do.

Any plans to hit the road?

No plans yet. You never know these days though, things happen quick! I cant wait for the day where I get to hit the road for the first time!

What else is happening next in Matt LeGrand’s world?

My world consist of keeping my head on my shoulders. Writing, recording, dancing, doing things I love to do, keeping it light, and loving every second. Life can be beautiful, you just have to let it be!
