How do you follow up a Bon Jovi-endorsed cover of “Livin On A Prayer” that cracked the Top 10 on Spotify’s Viral 50 USA chart, and a first single (“Champion”) that played live in-stadium during Super Bowls LI & 50? You do it with another track built on a similarly solid foundation of heart and grit. “Warrior’s Hymn” is the title track off the duo’s upcoming EP, and it’s another street anthem for the bold, the broken and the believers.
Uplifting messages may have been hard to come by during their disadvantaged upbringings, but Epoch Failure continues to deliver them in spades for their growing audience. The duo’s sophomore EP titled, Warrior’s Hymn, drops on Friday, May 26th. The big hooks and commercial sensibilities remain, but this EP surpasses their 2015 debut in both emotional intensity and lyrical maturity.ESPN recently selected Epoch Failure as a featured First Take artist, with the title track from the upcoming EP being featured throughout the month of May during their First Take programming: http://es.pn/2qDOoFv. In addition, EpochFailure’s new song “Legacy” was featured in the “NFL Championship Chase” draft special on CBS Sports (April 22, 2017). The song was used for the entire closing montage. It subsequently aired multiple times on NFL Network.
In much the same spirit as Epoch Failure’s “Champion” single, this upcoming Warrior’s Hymn EP is derived from the firsthand struggles these two Jersey natives have endured and overcome. It’s a story of triumph over adversity. As such, this is more than just an EP. It’s a personal sonic portrait.
