Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?
Hi Vents magazine! Thank you for your interest in our song “Faded Stars!”
Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Faded Stars” / Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?
The song was inspired by life experiences while growing up and feeling a loss of innocence and the choice you get to make to overcome those obstacles. For me, it was finding my way through God and being able to “turn around.” Partaking in many Saturday nights where things have gotten out of hand but now learning that it’s all just apart of growing up.
How was the writing and recording process?
The writing process is alway very organic. Faded Stars was written and completed in a two hour writing session. We spent over a year of pre and post production. It was our first time recoding an EP so it was a fun learning experience and we got to work with a lot of talented engineers and producers. Working in Capitol Records studio B was a dream come true!
What is it about the 90s that you find so fascinating?
We find the 90’s fascinating because we love that grunge rock sound that feels authentic.
Does the new single mean we can expect more new material – how’s that coming along?
Yes! We have been working on a new single titled – “Killed Someone” it’s about your actions effecting others in ways you aren’t aware of. We were deeply moved by the “13 Reasons Why” Netflix series and wanted to shed light about the subject of suicide and bullying. We are also working on another single release for later this fall – we can keep you posted about.
Any tentative release date or title in mind?
We are currently working on the single and video release date for mid August.
Any plans to hit the road?
We will be doing a North Western Tour this August for the Total Solar Eclipse Festival where thousands of people from all over the world will be coming to John Day, Oregon to view the eclipse.
What else is happening next in Jane N’ The Jungle’s world?
Right now in the Jane N’ The Jungle world we are writing and in studio and currently working on our single and music video release for “Killed Someone.” Also working on releasing our band version of our Honda commercial “Open Road Blues.” Looks like JNTJ is also getting some love in the Modern Rock world with radio play for our song “Smoke & Dust.” Lots of exciting things happening and we look forward to sharing our music and inspiring all those we can!
