INSTANT LOVE Shares Cavale Singing The Kinks’ “You Really Got Me”

Instant Love, the powerful sisterhood-focused project from Instant Records, has shared a new song today – CLICK HERE to listen to The Kinks’ “You Really Got Me” transformed by indie-pop singer and performance artist Cavale via Substream Magazine. Instant Love, created by Richard Gottehrer (renowned songwriter, producer and founder of The Orchard and Instant Records) and Instant Records’ Allison Zatarain, is a collection of love songs originally sung by men about women, reimagined in powerful new ways by female vocalists. “You Really Got Me” is available for purchase now on all DSPs, STREAM HERE.

With this dreamy new collaboration, Instant Love also kicked off their new “Instant Love Nest” video series with a playful interview between Cavale and Allison Zatarain, WATCH HERE! Each “Instant Love Nest” video will bring a new artist into Allison’s home for honest discussions about music, sisterhood and the power of women.

“Some of my greatest loves have been the women in my life. That’s honestly what I want to sing about,” Cavale explained of why she got involved in the project. “Love should be boundless, mysterious, bare. It should obliterate walls. I have a deep respect for early punk music, and being a woman addressing another woman – it makes a song feel completely new. My favorite part of the process was singing ‘girl’ with playfulness and conviction and knowing there were so many ways to interpret it.”

In addition, Instant Love has launched a new interactive website compiling songs, stories and video directly from each artist contributing to the project. Listeners can get involved directly by uploading covers of their own and continuing to further the dialogue of empowerment and unity. CLICK HERE to learn more, and CLICK HERE to listen to the Instant Love‘s living album playlist, which collects each new addition to the project as they are released.

Launched on International Women’s Day, Instant Love hopes to kickstart a dialogue about what it means to be a woman, led by female artists who are unafraid of breaking the boundaries of the status quo. With each new song highlighting women’s unique voices and perspectives, the project celebrates of the power of love between women, mothers, sisters, friends, lovers and everything in between.

Instant Love, in partnership with The Orchard, will release a new song every two weeks with an impactful female vocalist from across genres alongside original artwork by Rebecca Morehiser.
