Songwriter Al Krause is releasing an emotional new video for his song “Five Minutes” featuring Tony Lucca. The song describes the moments surrounding the passing of Krause’s father. Krause says, “I started writing songs as a kid… more like poems at that time… love and happiness… girls and sex… heart break, sadness, suicide… you know… the thoughts that every normal teenage kid has after he finds his father dying on the floor and can’t do anything to save his life…”
“Five Minutes” is the lead single from Krause’s recently released album Tale To Tell, and the song is reaching a wide audience on Spotify with over 244K plays since the set’s November 4, 2016 release. “Five Minutes” was co-written with Tony Lucca and Noble Steed Music head Jason Spiewak.
The video itself features a dynamic performance by Tony Lucca, singing and telling the story of Krause’s loss while inter-weaving the stories of others’ losses. Says Lucca, “’Five Minutes’ really is a special song. A collaboration that far exceeds the sum of its parts. From the story and lyric to the melody and arrangement, not to mention the video concept. It all really came together nicely and rightfully so as the song clearly reflects such a deep sense of loss and grief. It was a pleasure to be a part of this beautiful tribute.”
