Today, LA-based, NJ-born emcee, Rugby Wild, is sharing the video for his single “Scuffs” taken from his upcoming debut Millennials. “Scuffs” was debuted today via a premiere on Noisey and sets the bar high for new emcees.
In case you’re unfamiliar, Rugby Wild (who resides in LA but was raised in Newark, NJ) blends laid back California vibes and huge hooks with the sort of skillful wordplay that east coast emcees pride themselves on. Last year saw the release of his debut EP, W.I.L.D; which featured the breakout track “Chevy“. Rugby is now preparing to share the made-for-summer full-length Millennials, but has been keeping busy in the meantime creating music for brands like Jeep that aired during the NFL playoffs and Skechers’ new street line.
Rugby’s latests single “Scuffs” is the second offering from his upcoming debut Millennials. “Topanga”, the first single, previously premiered on Earmilk and featured on Mass Appeal’s favorite videos. The ambitious upcoming album dually pays tribute to the carefree nature of being young and how those feelings evolve when you’re in the process of really growing up. It will undoubtedly be a must-listen on this year’s list of summertime releases.
