AXS TV pays tribute to rock superstar Gregg Allman with a special broadcast of his 2015 appearance on THE BIG INTERVIEW—airing tonight, May 30, at 9pE, followed by an encore presentation on Saturday, June 10 at 1pE. Also, tonight’s episode will be simulcast live on AXS TV’s Facebook page, giving Allman fans worldwide the ability watch this insightful conversation.

This unforgettable episode of THE BIG INTERVIEW finds the Southern Rock pioneer sitting down with Dan Rather for an exclusive conversation that offers priceless insight into Allman’s personal life and GRAMMY®-winning career. During the interview, Allman discusses The Allman Brothers Band’s historic success and their performance at the landmark Summer Jam festival, as well as his brother’s tragic death, his sobriety, and how he overcomes stage fright, before performing a soulful rendition of the Allman Brothers favorite “Oncoming Traffic.”

As part of this special tribute event, AXS TV will also present the acclaimed 2016 documentary THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND: AFTER THE CRASH on Thursday, June 15 at 4pE, detailing the powerful true story of how the Southern Rock gods persevered to become one of the most enduring acts in music following the death of guitar mastermind Duane Allman in a motorcycle accident in 1971. An encore broadcast ofAFTER THE CRASH will air on Sunday, June 18, at 10aE.
