“I feel a lack of gravity, lost the weight of love / feel my demons pulling me, but I won’t give up,” is the stream of lyrics echoing next to Paralympian Lacey Henderson as she runs underneath an overpass, an athletic journey that ends in a triumphant smile. With black and white cinematography serving as a visual time capsule, the viewer is taken to critical movements in the young amputee’s life where she was faced with incredible odds. In the end, the world can see beyond a black and white funneled vision, as Lacey has been able to conquer her demons by battling uncertain conditions. She transformed that uncertainty into a possibility beyond imaginable comprehension. Her story paired with the lyrical interpretation of Young Rising Sons creates an indestructible memory for music listeners. Despite all odds, you can leave your mark on the world the way God intended you to, and your story will not be forgotten.
