Arizona pop-punk quartet Divided Minds have released their new music/video “Take My Hand” on May 11th.The genuine sound and diversity of this band once again can be heard. With some Arizona sunshine, Divided Minds keeps showing they have exactly the right amount of Pop Punk to take them and their fans on a trip of music filled days.
With this track, “Take My Hand,” Divided Minds recorded again at Tuff Tones Studios. “We dig working with Mike Oliver he always seems to be able to grab that raw sound which is kind of our trademark. Our music is what you hear on our albums as well as live. With this single track, we wanted that to hold true, plus it just feels so good to be recording music again and sharing what we love with our fans.”Now Divided Minds has taken their single track, “Take My Hand” and asked videographer Jacob Reynolds to create something that matches their organic sound and the initial emotive of the song’s lyrics. Lead guitarist Josh Peters, who wrote this song said, ‘“Take My Hand” was inspired by a time when I wanted to just have a good time with a friend late at night on a hill and that person was not about it. That’s when I told her, “You look like a girl who wants to dance. Of course like many summer romances betrayal and breaking up were inevitable.”’
The new video is very personal but at the same time meant to tell a story that everyone can relate to. Divided Minds are currently working on a forthcoming EP which is slated to be out this year, along with a summer tour they are looking to continue making and having fun with what they do best… music.
