Barnstorming new single follows string of high profile support slots and sold out shows
Fast-rising indie-rockers The Indigo Project have released their new single Taste It today. The anthemic slice of punkish guitar pop from Leeds’ favourite new band is tailor made for both indie-disco and festival singalongs and is set to propel them onto the national stage. In the two years since forming, the young 5-piece have played Leeds & Reading Festival, wowed an 8000-strong Millennium Square crowd, supported The DMAs, Ocean Colour Scene and The Sherlocks and built a fervent local fanbase with a string of sold out, exuberant headline shows. A blistering tale of teenage love, lust and love, Taste It will follow a second consecutive appearance at Live at Leeds Festival and coincides with UK tour dates.
“Taste It is a song about wanting someone desperately, despite the fact that you know it’s a bad idea,” says frontman Joe Spink of the new song. “That person could be almost within arm’s length, but also just out of reach – so close you can almost taste it.”
The Indigo Project will play the following shows this Spring –
14th May – The Fullford Arms, YORK
3rd June – Henry’s Bar, EDINBURGH
4th June – Nice ’n Sleazy, GLASGOW
