“One of my favorite musical challenges is to create a song that never changes in a certain aspect, and find a way to make it interesting despite that fact. The chord progression in this song never changes, and it’s all about the textures and dynamics over top. My hope was to evoke feelings of nostalgia and loss, but more important is that the listener takes whatever they want or need from it.” – Andy Othling

The poignant new song is just a taste of what’s to come on the multi-talented musician’s new album, The Swiss Illness. The album also features the previously released song “A Course of Strengthening Medicines,” which can be streamed at https://youtu.be/QZAz02Bz1TE. The new record was written, recorded, produced and mixed by Othling.
