Jonathan Rado Shares Bruce Springsteen Cover “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out”; “Born To Run” Cover Album Out 5/12

Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado has shared the second taste of his forthcoming full album cover of Bruce Springsteen’s Born To Run, releasing his version of “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out.”

Rado previously shared his cover of “Thunder Road”. Rado’s Born To Run will be available exclusively via Turntable Kitchen’s SOUNDS DELICIOUS subscription series on May 12. The album will be available only on vinyl with original artwork (shown below), limited to 1000 copies. Pre-orders are available now.

SOUNDS DELICIOUS is a first-of-its-kind monthly vinyl subscription service. SOUNDS DELICIOUS will offer full-length cover albums – exclusively featuring music not available anywhere else – on limited edition vinyl.

Participating artists were asked to choose any full-length album they love and reimagine it from front to back. SOUNDS DELICIOUS will produce the recordings on limited edition vinyl packaged in beautifully designed jackets and exclusively release them to members of its subscription service every month.

Also coming in 2017 from SOUNDS DELICIOUS:

  • Ben Gibbard covering Teenage Fanclub’s Bandwagonesque

  • The Pains of Being Pure at Heart with Kristin Kontrol & members of Titus Andronicus covering Tom Petty’s Full Moon Fever

  • Ava Luna covering Serge Gainsbourg’s Histoire de Melody Nelson

  • A special collaboration featuring Local Natives, Chris Chu (POP ETC), Evan Voytas, Andy Breihan (Guards/SACCO), and other TBA special guests covering Dennis Wilson’s Pacific Ocean Blue

  • Many more to come!
