Free Press Summer Festival has officially announced the 2017 performance schedule, revealing headliners G-Eazy and Cage The Elephant performing on Saturday, and Lorde and Flume performing on Sunday.  The announcement also comes with exciting news, as Miike Snow, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Party Favor, Trill Sammy and Mod Sun have been added to this year’s lineup. More than 55 artists will perform on 4 stages as the ninth annual festival returns to Eleanor Tinsley Park in downtown Houston, TX on June 3 and 4.

This year FPSF fans can expect an elevated dining experience in the festival food court, now called Houston Eats. Seth Siegel-Gardner and Terrence Gallivan, chefs and co-owners of The Pass and Provisions, have signed on as chef curators to hand select high-quality food vendors that best represent the Houston culinary scene.  The two-time James Beard Award semifinalists have started the selection process and vendors will be announced soon.  In the meantime, fans can get excited for the items The Pass and Provisions will be serving: a few versions of fried chicken sandwiches and house-made ice cream to cut the heat.

“We want the food selection to be a small snapshot of restaurants we love in Houston,” said Terrence Gallivan. “We’ll also choose spots that serve festival-friendly food-what people want to eat when they’re rocking out.”

Also new in 2017 is the implementation of the Rock & Recycle Program, where fans can earn free FPSF swag just by helping to keep Eleanor Tinsley Park clean, as well as locker rentals to store belongings while enjoying the show and a new partnership with FanZone, where patrons can catch an official shuttle, carpool with fans in their area, join a rideshare and more.  FPSF will also upgrade the festival experience by providing environmentally friendly, flushable toilets in various areas of the park.

2-Day General Admission Tickets ($148 + fees) are available now at www.fpsf.com.  Kids 8 and under enter for free with a ticketed adult.
