based Motown/Capitol breakthrough rapper Chaz French unveils “Miss You (Freestyle)” video exclusively via The Fader.  Watch the visuals here. The visual accompanied with the track is one of Chaz’s most intimate and personal releases featuring cameos from his children, mother, and close family and friends.  Chaz told The Fader, “It’s been longer than my fans or I would have liked for me to give them new songs and visuals. I just wanted to take this time to let them know, that I missed them during this time apart. At the same time, through this process of chasing the vision, my time with my children has also become limited. Had to do some soul searching to find the balance between Chaz the Dad and the rapper. Struggle what made us!” The song, which samples Teddy Pendergrass’s classic record “I Miss You,” is soulful yet raw furthermore defining the sound that Chaz French has perfected and claimed as his own. “Miss You (Freestyle)” is produced by GRAMMY nominated producer $K (Future, Trey Songz) and DJ Cruz.

The freestyle is hot on the heels of Chaz’s label deal announcement with Motown/Capitol and the release of his buzzing new single “Way Out” from his highly anticipated debut album.  Chaz French is also gearing up to join Wale for the northeast leg of The Shine Tour making stops in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York City, and Boston.  Tickets can be purchased here.  Ahead of the tour, he will be performing at Broccoli City Festival (May 6) and Rolling Loud Festival (May 7).
