Dave Grohl Joins Preservation Hall Jazz Band & Jon Batiste for Special Performance On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

New Orleans ensemble Preservation Hall Jazz Band performed ‘Santiago‘ off their new album So It Is, with a surprise visit from the Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl on last night’s Late Show with Stephen Colbert. PHJB performed throughout the evening sitting in with Jon Batiste and Stay Human, celebrating the release of their dynamic and buoyantly soulful new album.  Check out the fiery rendition of “Santiago” here.

Preservation Hall Jazz Band have just released their latest album So It Is via Legacy Recordings.  Produced by David Sitek (TV on the Radio), the album finds the classic PHJB sound invigorated by a number of fresh influences, not least among them the band’s 2015 life-changing trip to Cuba.
