Sarah Solovay has released “Trick Me,” the second track from her upcoming untitled EP, scheduled for release this summer. Highlighting both Solovay’s candid storytelling and unapologetic affinity for creating summer jam worthy singles, “Trick Me” offers listeners a new, intimate look at Solovay as a songwriter.
“Writing ‘Trick Me’ was a real turning point for me as an artist,” she acknowledges, “it helped me tap into my new alt pop sound, and that in turn helped me figure out which songs from my last few years of writing felt most true to me as an artist and to where I currently am in my life. ‘Trick Me’ resonates with me a lot right now, because it’s about turning a blind eye to the fact that a guy might not be good for me in the long-term and just letting the experience be fun and exciting for as long as it lasts. Right now in my life this is really where my head’s at-learning to appreciate experiences and people who come into my life, regardless of how long they will last or whether it might hurt when it ends.”

Solovay will also join Island Records signed The Heydaze on the road for a handful of dates in May, including a stop at The Studio at Webster Hall on May 2nd. Of the pairing, Solovay said, “I’m beyond excited to hit the road with The Heydaze! They’re such talented guys and make really fun music. I’ve also known Jesse since high school, and even worked on some music with him back then, so this feels very full circle.”
