Stef Drootin, the acclaimed bassist of The Good Life and Big Harp (and previously Bright Eyes, She & Him), introduced Umm today, her new project with her husband and Big Harp bandmate, guitarist Chris Senseney. Inspired by the Everly Brothers’ sweet harmonies, Umm adds simple chunky beats, vintage drum machines and fuzzed-out guitars to create their hypnotic pop sound. The duo premiered their debut single “Black Summer” and is also sharing its B-side “Oh Yes No.”
