Continuing with our premiere week, we are heading over to Milwaukee where we find our next act, Down on Maddy, who has teame up with the magazine for the exclusive stream of his new self-titled album. The album has this minimalistic and electronic textures that reminded me right away to Radiohead and King Diamond.

Down on Maddy is the brainchild of indie producer/multi-instrumentalist Patrick Kleven. In 2016, Patrick quit his job and the busy world and headed out to an isolated lake house in the North Woods of Wisconsin to put down in music what had been swirling in his head.

To produce this cryptic and cathartic music, Patrick has had to confront loneliness, demons, and his tumultuous past. With Down On Maddy’s debut, he brings listeners light by sharing the passage through darkness. The eponymous album traverses funk, reggae, new wave, dub, and trippy psychedelic textures.
