Swedish dance-pop mastermind OLSSON has released a Playgroup remix of ‘One In A Million’, the lead single taken from his forthcoming debut album Millions out through Universal on May 12th. LISTEN HERE
Playgroup reworks the original ‘90s garage-inspired single into a groove-laden, tropical-tinged house track. The remix follows the recent critically acclaimed release of a Zomby rework, which Thump featured, proclaiming that, “Zomby’s turned in a raucous, rave-ready remix of OLSSON’s ‘One In A Million.”
OLSSON has also revealed an acoustic take on ‘One In A Million’, which sees the singer stripping the song back to beautifully stark basics with just a piano and his soulful voice.
‘One In A Million’ follows the release of 2016’s single ‘Hold On’, made in collaboration with the sharp tongue of Sweden’s Mapei. The mega-streaming hit also features on the forthcoming album Millions.
With Millions OLSSON has created an album that cross-pollinates musical flavours, spanning generations and continents. It’s an orgy of house pianos, Madchester beats, untamed instrumental work and bruising soul hallmarks. Millions is an unconventional and nostalgically tuned indie-dance pop project, which is set to see OLSSON breathe new life into parties around the planet.
