INTERVIEW: The LACS

Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Great! We’re excited!

Can you talk to us more about your single “American Rebelution”?

This song basically sums up what we felt about the political climate for most of last year.

Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?

We were watching the news one day and got to talking about everything and this song came from that.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

Maybe. You’ll have to stay tuned!

Why naming the album after this track in particular?

We thought it sounded big and inviting – like an action movie title!

How was the recording and writing process?

We normally write what we’re feeling. We record as we go, so we’ll record a song right after writing it. We feel like the process flows better that way.

After 6 albums, would you call this a follow up or a departure from your previous materials?

Definitely a follow up. We stick with what we know, while pushing our selves further with every album.

You are known for blending Hip Hop with Southern Rock, for this record though – did you get to play with other styles?

Country music is our baseline, but then we like to play with other beats and things until we get a song just the way we like it.

What aspect of rebellion did you get to explore on this album?

We wrote and recorded exactly what we wanted to.

Any plans to hit the road?

We’re constantly on the road. We tour year round and wouldn’t have it any other way.  We’re out on the “American Rebelution” tour right now.

What else is happening next in The LACS’ world?

We’ve got a lot coming! New music, new dates, new projects. Keep in touch!!
