Canadian country artist Alee announced today the release of her debut full-length album “Bad Habit”, available everywhere via Wax Records/Universal Music Canada on April 21st. A heartfelt debut from an artist dubbed as “showing no signs of slowing down” and whose music has been called “absolutely stunning”, “Bad Habit” is a mix of tireless hard work (fueled by the work ethic of an Alberta farm girl), endless touring and at heart, the desire to tell a story.
Featuring the 2016 CCMA Rising Star Award nominee’s latest single “When I Do” as well as fan favourite’s “Moonshine” and “Only The Strong Survive”, “Bad Habit” runs the emotional gamut from bold and energetic crowd pleasers to Alee’s signature blend of sweet but heartbreaking melodies. Produced by Canadian Country hit-maker, Dan Swinimer (JoJo Mason, Madeline Merlo) and written in Nashville with top song-writing talent including Dave Thompson (Lady Antebellum), Bruce Wallace (Dierks Bentley) and Phil Barton (High Valley) “Bad Habit” is an ambitious and impressive debut from one of Canada’s brightest rising stars.
Later this month, Alee will join 2017 Grammy Awards’ Artist of Tomorrow Drake White as direct support at the “Hot Shots Showcase” during the 35th annual Canadian Music Week festival, with additional dates to be announced soon. Since her humble beginnings in 2013 when she saw three independently released tracks land in the Top 20 at Canadian country radio, Alee continues her whirlwind climb in the Canadian country music ranks. With the release of “Bad Habit”, Alee is sure to make an even bigger splash, quickly rising from her once unassuming Alberta roots to commanding the spotlight at centre stage.
