PREMIERE: Christian O’Connor Has Something To Believe In On His New Music Video

Kicking off another premiere week, we are starting in a bright note with a positive song courtesy of Singer-Songwriter Christian O’Connor who is back with the video for his latest single “Something To Believe In”.

About the song, Christian comments:

“We had a lot of fun shooting the video for ‘Something To Believe In.’ From busking in the subway to cranking it up with the band in the studio, there were some great vibes & a lot of energy! The song feels like some version of everyone’s story doesn’t it? How do you capture a slice of life in three minutes & thirty seconds? We dive into the mysteries, we search, we love, we dream, we yearn to believe in something, we fear our own frailty, we despair, and then in our own personal ways, we experience redemption & try to believe in something again. Every time I play that now song live, someone tells me they’ve felt every piece of it . . . I know I have.”

With a mastery of mind-melting guitar, Philly-based singer-songwriter, Christian O’Connor fronts a power quartet that is leaving a mark on every trail they blaze. Letting licks rip like Billy Gibbons, Derek Trucks, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jonny Lang and Gary Clark Jr., O’Connor isn’t just making a statement, he’s detonating one. Mixing Stevie Ray Vaughan type frenetics with an Iggy Pop frenzy, he’s a formidable force to be reckoned with. Over the last few years, he’s laid waste to tens of thousands of unsuspecting concert-goers while on the road with Jennifer Paige, Leigh Jones, Rivers Monroe, and The Howling Tongues. During incendiary sets at NASCAR & NHRA races, Boston’s First Night & Harborfest and a red-hot college tour, any part of the venue is fair game, from speaker stacks to table tops to bar tops to crowd-tops. Navigating these varying terrains with the same vigor as fingers bounding the fretboard, O’Connor’s explosive live performances always leave the audience gasping for air with fists raised everywhere.

Logging 100 shows while criss-crossing the Eastern U.S. again and again, Christian is a man on the move, both literally and figuratively. Armed with full backline and a front of house system, Christian and his band are headed out on the highway to support his forthcoming 2017 release Wine Over Water – Blood Over Wine, a 10-track behemoth that’s set to rattle the foundation that classic rock was built on.

Led by muscular hook-laden singles “Something To Believe In” and “Down” that recall the melodic multi-layered histrionics of Allman Bros and Lynyrd Skynyrd, O’Connor’s emergence on the national landscape is solidifying with exposure via NFL Network and NASCAR RaceDay & Trackside on FOX.

With track after track that burn brighter and brighter with each successive roundabout, it’s an epic escapade throughout. “It’s Killing Me” and “Never Going Back” boil with a brand of blues fusion that evoke storied progressive rock, while ballads like “Yearn To Fly” and “Believe” are destined to soundtrack dramatic cinematic scenes. Add in the deep-dive adventures of “Who I Want To Be,” “Love Steps,” and “All That’s Dead and Gone” and top it off with the boogie-woogie “boom” of “Friday Night Rocks,” and you have a blistering arsenal of anthems ready to rock, rock until you drop.
