L’AMOUR BLEU Premiere New Video for “Slave”

Today, L’Amour Bleu premiered a new video for “Slave” via Impose Magazine CLICK HERE to watch! Starring drag performer Jimmy Brenner, the video brings the song’s driving intensity to life with a frenzied physicality. L’Amour Bleu recently released their debut album Please via Static Recital, CLICK HERE to purchase the album.

Following the Valentine’s Day release of Please, L’Amour Bleu released a technicolor visual for “Take It” directed by George Venson of Voutsa and starring contemporary dance duo Rashaun Mitchell + Silas Reiner – CLICK HERE to watch via W Magazine. The band’s vibrant, kinetic visuals reflect their unique sensibility as well as the breadth of their creative collaborators, from Little Richard impersonator CP Lacey in the video for “New Dominance” (WATCH HERE) to artist Cara Benedetto, actor Allison LaPlatney, designer Misha Kahn and more in “Human Mattress” (WATCH HERE).

Named for the historical textbook of male sensuality, L’Amour Bleu’s live performances often involve improvisational collaborations with artists such as Stanley Love, Delia Gonzalez and samurai dancer Takemi Kitamura in spaces ranging from the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland to feted Bushwick rave-hole Bossa Nova Civic Club, channeling performance art elements to explore themes of decadence, voyeurism and masculine desire

Founded by drummer Matt Tong (Bloc Party, Algiers) and guitarist/vocalist Ryan Schaefer (Palms), L’Amour Bleu‘s unbridled, avant-garde riff-rock challenges traditional limits of music and performance with a distinctly New York aesthetic. L’Amour Bleu’s lineup is completed by art director and exhibitionist performer Shane Ruth (Baby) and guitarist/bassist E.A. Ireland.
