INTERVIEW: Armond Jason

Hi Armond, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

I’ve been good, just doing what I can to get by day to day.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “I’m The Man”?

“I’m the Man” is a track I created to help boost self-esteem and give myself, as well as others, a reminder that I’m in control and that nothing can stop me.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

It’s just the journey of music that inspired writing my song. There have been times I wanted to give up, people talked bad about what I do, and sometimes negativity can get to you when you still have far to go.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

I would definitely like to release a video. Unfortunately, the video making process takes time. I have to plan between working a full time job and with anyone who may be involved. Plus, the music videos cost money so I haven’t been able to get all the videos I need done quick enough.

How was the recording and writing process?

It was fun, I started making the instrumental and I got real hype. The chorus came to me really quickly and I went from there. Surprisingly this song went smoother than a lot of others that didn’t make the cut.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

Yes, there will always be new material. After I get the final song I want to my 10-track album, I will be taking a hiatus to study music and focus on performing, not so much as writing. Regardless, just like anything, it all takes time.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

Well, the Album is set to release near the end of April. It will be titled “The Gold Album: Signature.”

Any plans to hit the road?

Of course, that’s my next step, figuring out where I can play shows. My style is so unique I have to run everything I do like a record label and rent out venues and so forth. It’s a lot and hopefully I can bring along some help and find allies along the way.

What else is happening next in Armond Jason’s world?

Playing shows and doing what I can to get noticed. My life consist of Eating, sleeping, working, and music. Being that I live this just stay tuned and follow me on social media. You can find all links to my social media through my website.
