VÉRITÉ Announces Debut Album ‘Somewhere in Between’ + Releases New Song “When You’re Gone”

Today, VÉRITÉ announces her highly anticipated debut album Somewhere in Between alongside the release of the album’s propulsive alt-pop opener “When You’re Gone”LISTEN HERESomewhere in Between will be released June 23rd, 2017 via Kobalt Music Recordings and is available for pre-order now, CLICK HERE to pre-order.

“‘When You’re Gone’ was written on a train ride to upstate New York. The first verse of lyrics developed from mumbles as I repeated the verse melody in my head for an hour,” VÉRITÉ revealed. “Lyrically, I made the decision to be blunt and more transparent. The song is about being depressed, wanting to erase the feeling with external and realizing that it doesn’t work. I wanted the production to be a hard exterior shell to that vulnerability.”

The album’s first single “Phase Me Out” has already topped 3 million streams on Spotify after premiering on Entertainment Weekly. The song’s moody, atmospheric visual premiered via Interview Magazine, marking VÉRITÉ‘s first ever music video release – WATCH HERE. In addition, VÉRITÉ recently made her television debut on the TODAY show performing “Phase Me Out” as Elvis Duran’s ‘Artist of the Month.’ Watch HERE her performance.

On Somewhere In Between, VÉRITÉ collaborated with producers Liam Howe (Lana del Rey, Ellie Goulding, fka twigs), Tim Anderson (twenty one pilots, Solange, Mr. Little Jeans), Peter Thomas (Selena Gomez, Betty Who), James Flannigan and Zach Nicita, and recorded at multiple studios in New York, London and LA. The 13-track collection blends electronic and alt-pop elements together effortlessly into a rhythm-driven sound that is ornately arranged with emotionally raw lyrics.  Each of the songs’ meanings “dissect fragments of my experience as a human and twist them in unusual ways,” VÉRITÉ noted. “I like playing with the sentiment of human relationships, but the lyrics are more about my relationship with the world, and dealing with things like apathy and boredom.”

In support of the album, VÉRITÉ will join Betty Who on a run of North American shows and select European tour dates this April and May 2017. Full tour routing is below and tickets for all dates are on sale now, CLICK HERE to purchase.
