Half The Animal Release Debut EP SHAPES Today!

Laguna Beach, pop/alternative rock outfit HALF THE ANIMAL released their debut EP, SHAPES today to all digital retailers via their own imprint STRZ RECORDS“Babylon”, the EP’s lead track and the band’s critically praised 2016 debut single, is a cinematic rock anthem, boasting a pounding melodic piano that leads into an explosive and empowering chorus.  A music video for the single was recently released which includes footage from the band’s recent stint in Manhattan.  CLICK HERE to view the music video for “Babylon”.

HALF THE ANIMAL utilizes a non-linear approach to their songwriting and production, captivating audiences and embracing diversity throughout the new EP. SHAPES embodies the emotional spectrum of a storied history within the band and introduces us to the multidimensional sound we will come to know.

The group have been playing a number of high energy dates throughout the west coast as of late including a residency at Newport Beach’s The Wayfarer, a KROQ sponsored “Locals Only” show and a gig at LA’s infamous “School Night” showcase, with additional nationwide college dates confirmed.   Tonight, in celebration of the SHAPES EP release, the band will treat fans to a special acoustic performance and meet and greet at the Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood on Hollywood Blvd (6801 Hollywood Boulevard, Suite 105, Hollywood, CA 90028).  The all ages event is free admission and starts at 7pm (doors at 6:30pm).

HALF THE ANIMAL is lead singer Chase Johnson, drummer Nick Gross, bassist Evan Smith and guitarist Dan Graham.
