New Portals release video for new single ‘Fill Me Up’

New Portals have released the video for their new song ‘Fill Me Up’, taken from their debut EP Stereo out today.

The video sees the Belfast duo playing a judging panel for a disparate talent show featuring drag queens, yoga, infatuated couples and a priest.

Regarding ‘Fill Me Up’ New Portals say, We were interested in what people choose to fill their lives with, whether it is a job, drugs, having babies, spirituality, or all of those things. We started writing a ‘make out’ song but it snowballed into something deeper, and turned into a celebration of how different we all are.”

‘Fill Me Up’ is an icy ballad that nods to 80s pop and is the latest song to be taken from theStereo EP, following the acclaimed release of the title track’s experimental electronica last month.

The Stereo EP is a collection of chilled indie/electronics. It also includes the dark, dubby ‘Move So Slow’ and 2016’s critically praised single ‘Groove Boy’.

New Portals have just returned from SXSW. They played four shows at the festival, which adds to the brands increasing transatlantic appeal following their tour of New York last year. They are continuing to establish themselves as a true international prospect breaking from Ireland today.
