Today, via a premiere on Pop Matters, Shiny Wet Machine has premiered “Euphoria”; the latest and quite possibly most addictive single from their freshly announced debut Lights Out EP. “Euphoria” is a track about the insuppressible pull towards hedonism and how the desire to pursue this visceral, carnal urge is, in reality, unquenchable and increasingly consuming. In short, the further down the rabbit hole you get, the more you need to push forward; always harder, always deeper, always faster. Sonically the track captures that feeling perfectly. As Pop Matters points out in the premiere, the track’s “short, fierce bursts of energy” are “undeniably appealing”. You can check out the official video for “Euphoria” now or stream the track on Spotify.
“Euphoria” is the third single from the band’s debut Lights Out EP due out April 25th on Sizzy’s own label Diet Punk. In celebration of the release, the band will be having an EP Release show on Sunday April 23rd at the Studio @ Webster Hall in New York. They will be supported by Best Behavior and Better Head and the show will be presented by Play Too Much Music. You can get your tickets for the show here.
Stay tuned for more from Shiny Wet Machine as we get closer to their highly-anticipated debut EP!
