About “Waves”, Scharf says: “I worked on the song for two years, tweaking lyrics and arrangement. For a while I worried the chorus didn’t made sense – ‘I’ve forgotten how to forget the bad parts / It’s getting harder to remember the good’. It’s a sort of double-negative-creates-a-positive motif. I suppose that’s appropriate for the song.”

The “Waves” music video was directed by Mark Martinez.

Good Night Gold Dust is a Minnesota electro indie pop quartet. Formed in 2014, GNGD teamed up with Minneapolis producer Brett Bullion (Bad Bad Hats, Jessica Manning) to record their debut self-titled EP. In February 2016, they were finalists in the Minneapolis Star Tribune’s Are You Local? contest. In August 2016, GNGD were selected by DJ Andrea Swensson of Minnesota Public Radio’s 89.3 The Current for her Artists to Watch Showcase. GNGD has shared stages with national and international artists including The Rural Alberta Advantage, HæLOS, Gordi, the Mynabirds, Bad Bad Hats, Cloud Cult, and Low, among many others. GNGD are currently recording their second album.
