Today, vinyl-only label Omertà Inc. is back to announce two new vinyl releases. Gucci Mane and Zaytoven’s mixtape Mama’s Basement, which released in 2016 but consists of some of the earliest known Gucci recordings, as well as Peewee Longway and Cassius Jay’s mixtape Longway Sinatra, which was criminally slept on and includes features from TK Kravitz, Offset, and E-40, are both receiving the Omerta treatment. They will be released on vinyl for the first time complete with full vinyl packaging and available in limited quantities. Both releases will be available on April 28th and are available for pre-order now.
Omertà Inc., founded in London in 2017, is born out of a love of hip hop, mixtape culture and years of collecting vinyl.
Recognizing the integral role that vinyl has historically held in the development of hip hop culture, Omertà Inc.’s mission is to revive the format despite the genre’s recent shift to digital releases. The ensuing releases will include everything from long out of print hip hop classics to mixtapes seeing their first ever release on vinyl. With deluxe packaging and each album pressed in strictly limited quantities, every release is a must have.
