2016 CCMA Discovery Program Winner Eric Ethridge Releases Debut Single

On March 20, 2017 Sarnia, ON country artist Eric Ethridge will release his hotly anticipated debut single “Liquor’s Callin’ the Shots” via iTunes and Spotify. Produced by JUNO Award-winner Brian Howes (Nickelback, Keith Urban, Daughtry, and Hinder) the hook filled “Liquor’s Callin’ the Shots” showcases Ethridge’s own brand of country music and delivers a sure fire stadium anthem to the masses.

“It has taken years of hard work and commitment to get to this point and I’m grateful to have a team of very talented people who have helped me create my debut single,” said Ethridge. “I couldn’t be more excited to share the first piece of who I am as an artist.”

With an infectious chorus that transitions to an upbeat melodic guitar riff, the single effectively blends country sounds with Ethridge’s southern rock roots. Filled with relatable lyrics including “you can’t drown a heartbreak sober” and “no drink’s gonna set me straight when you and I are on the rocks”, it is sure to strike a chord with listeners who have had heartbreak of their own.

The past few years have seen Ethridge’s brand gain serious momentum in the country music scene. In August of 2015 he was runner-up in the Boots and Hearts emerging artist showcase, and in 2016 was the winner of the CCMA Discovery Program. Ethridge’s high energy performances have captivated audiences and he has shared the stage with major acts including, Brett Kissel, Chad Brownlee, Chris Young, Emerson Drive, Eric Church, Kip Moore, Florida Georgia Line, Randy Houser, The Brothers Osborne and Thomas Rhett.
